Truffle Hunt & Unearthed Lunch
Join Alice and one of our special companions on a private hunt in search of wondrous truffle. After your hunt, this timeless experience is followed by a guided truffle tasting, and a gourmet truffle lunch on the verandah. Matching wines or beverages can be bought separately from the restaurant during the lunch.
As one of the most unique outdoor experiences, Alice will explain the ins and outs of truffle farming, and demonstrate how our dogs locate rich truffles across Beltana Farm with over 800 trees. Once found, you will be more than welcome to get your hands dirty to dig the truffles yourself, or leave it to the hunter.
The experience starts at 11am and takes between 3–4 hours. Limited to a maximum of 25 people.
Canberra mornings in winter are always fresh; rug up nice and warm and wear comfortable shoes for walking on a farm, as some of the trufferie is uneven. Some branded items will be available on the day.
We hunt in the sun or rain; if the weather is unsafe or torrential, we will contact you the day before or the morning of to discuss alternative options.
Cancellation: We offer cancellation 1 week prior to the event date.
